1907: Bill Dickey is born.

1913: The Yankees lose a franchise record 13th consecutive game, a 2-1 defeat at the hands of the Cleveland Naps.

1934: Myril Hoag hits a major league record six consecutive singles in a 15-3 Yankee rout of the Red Sox. He also becomes the first Yankee player to go 6 for 6 in a 9-inning game.

1965: Switch-hitting Tom Tresh connects for three consecutive home runs in the Yankees' 12-0 blowout against the White Sox. Tresh hits his first homer right-handed off Juan Pizarro in the first inning, then goes to the other side of the plate and hits two against Bruce Howard in the third and fifth innings.
