1977: Yankee righty Ken Clay has a memorable day against the Rangers, though it's one he would rather forget; in relief of starter Mike Torres, he serve up back to back inside the park homers to Bump Wills and Toby Harrah on the way to an 8-2 New York loss.

1984: Cruising along with a 6-0 shutout at Oakland, Yankee starter Joe Howley collapses in the 7th, and the relief help from Jay Howell is not much help as the A's bat around and score 7 runs, including a double and a homer from Dave Kingman. Bobby Meacham hits his second dinger of the game in the 8th to give New York the lead again, and Dave Righetti, will hold it for an 8-7 win.
